AA/EPA ratio
This test measure the ratio of Omega 6 toOmega 3 fatty acids in
the body which is an important marker of inflammation and heart
health. This can help you customize your diet/supplementation to
get the best possible ratio of the nutrients.

Adrenal stress index
A salivary hormone test that measures your adrenal activity
throughtout a day. This test helps us evaluate your response to
stress.

Axillary thyroid test
This is a test to help determine thyroid/adrenal function.Very
important if temperature intolerance, fatigue or inablity to lose
weight are concerns.

B12 injections
Vitamin B12 insufficiency is a common occurrence in a high-stress and over-medicated population with poor eating habits. Vitamin B12 is needed to form healthy blood and immune cells, and support a healthy nervous system. Symptoms of inadequate B12 levels may include:

  1. Anemia
  2. Fatigue
  3. Constipation
  4. Weight problems
  5. Numbness/tingling in hands and/or feet
  6. Depression
  7. Dementia
  8. Poor memory
  9. Oral soreness
  10. Increased risk of cardiovascular
  11. Disease
Many medications including steroids, diabetes meds and antacids reduce levels of B12 in the body. The main dietary source of B12 is from animal foodstuffs, which makes supplementation a good idea for vegetarians. Absorption of vitamin B12 is difficult which is why at Wellness Solutions we offer the injectible form for rapid utilization. Many report significant boosts in energy and metabolism.

Calirometer
This test accuartely measure your resting metabolic rate (RMR)
which is how many calories you would burn in a 24 hour period
at total rest.

Comprehensive hormone panel
A custom, in-depth look at the entire endocrine system. This
panel checks thyroid, and adrenal hormones; as well as growth
hormone, testosterone, estrogen, progesterone,DHEA, pregnenolone
and prostate cancer risk (in men).Hormone balance is
vital for body composition, vigor and well-being.

Comp. Stool Analysis w/ Parasitology x3
Evaluates the status of beneficial and imbalanced commensal bacteria, pathogenic bacteria, yeast/fungus and parasites in the digestive tract. Precise identification of offending species allows for
more precise and effective treatment.

Elimination diet
This is a specific 3 week diet to be followed after which you reintroduce
foods to see how they affect your health and wellbeing.
Since food has a profound effect on our health, it is important to
know which foods are “friendly” to your body’s unique needs and
which are “harmful”. Food is more than just calories, it is information.
When we eat we “talk” to our genetics and profoundly influence
our health and wellness. Since food reactions can contribute
to virtually any symptom you may be experiencing, this test is
especailly inportant.

Estronex
This test measures the amount of “good” and “bad” estrogens in
the body giving a good marker for the risk of developing estrogen-
sensitive cancers such as breast and cervical cancer.

Food allergy panel
Since food has a profound effect on our health, it is important to
know which foods are “friendly” to your body’s unique needs and
which are “harmful”. Food is more than just calories, it is information.
When we eat we “talk” to our genetics and profoundly influence
our health and wellness. Since food reactions can contribute
to virtually any symptom you may be experiencing, this test is
especailly inportant. We test 96 foods for both immediate (minutes
to hours after eating) and delayed (up to 5 days after eating)
reactions. The delayed reactions often contribute to feeling tired
and unwell with no apparent link to what we ate.

Food dairy
A record of what you eat/drink for 5 days.Along with your symptoms
this can help your doctor link food related issues contributing
to your problems. This survey can also be analyzed by our register
dietican. She can provide adivice on better choices for attaining
a higher nutrient status and better body composition.

Functional medicine panel
A comprehensive in-depth blood panel that involves over 55 tests
to carefully evaluate electrolyte, kidney, liver, blood sugar, immune
system, detoxification function, vitamin D levels as well as heart
disease risk and inflammation problems.

Functional screening —5 tests total
1.Vitamin C test - Vitamin C is vital to your immune system,
tissue repair, prorper function of the heart, lungs and gut. This test
can dtermine if you are taking an adequate amount and the right
form for you.
2.Calcium status - This test measures the amount of calcium
in your urine. This test in combination with blood calcium and
bone density can reveal much about bone health and calcium utilization by your body.
3.Adrenal fatigue - This test measures the amount of chloride
displaced in your urine. This is a good indicator of overall
stress and adrenal burden.
4.Bowel toxicity - This test can help determine if you have a
favorable number of “friendly” bacteria in your digestive tract.
Having an imbalance of good to bad bacteria in the gut can lead
to many digestive problems.
5. Oxidative stress test - This test measures the actual
degree of damage to your cells being caused by free radicals.
Unchecked cell degeneration leads to premature aging and chronic
disease.

Gluten test
This is the most sensitive test for measuring gluten sensitivity
or allergy.Although there may be no detectable symptoms of
the immune response to gluten, the typical symptoms people
develop occur when the reaction begins to damage the intestines.
The symptoms, resulting from malabsorption or improper digestion of dietary nutrients, include abdominal bloating or pain, diarrhea, constipation, gaseousness, or nausea with or without vomiting. It appears that acid reflux in the esophagus, manifesting as heartburn, may be a potential symptom as well. Other symptoms people experience include fatigue, joint pains, mouth ulcers, bone pain, abnormal menses in women, and infertility.

Heavy metal analysis (Hair)
We are all exposed to large variety of toxic metals through
what we eat, drink and breathe. Some can enetr a state of toxic
overload.Toxic elements may be 200-300 times more highly
concentrated in hair than in blood or urine. Therefore, hair is a
test of choice for detection of recent exposure to elements
such as arsenic, aluminum, cadmium, lead, antimony, and mercury.
The CDC acknowledges the value of hair mercury levels as
a maternal and infant marker for exposure to neurotoxic
methylmercury from fish.

Iodine paint test
Iodine is an overlooked essential nutrient that is commonly
deficient. Iodine is important for the health of the thyroid,
breasts and ovaries.

Neurotransmitter balance assessment
A brain function symptom survey to assess balance of important
neurotransmitters that have to do with energy, drive, creativity,
balance, calmness, joy and relaxation. Rebalancing is supported
with appropraite lifestyle recommendations, amino acids
and other supplementation.

Organix test
This is a highly in-depth look at nutrient status, B-vitamin levels,
cellular energy, neural function, detoxification, antioxidant status,
and markers of bacterial or yeast overgrowth. It includes over
45 individual organic acid tests from which we can recommend
customized, compounded vitamin and mineral supplementation.

PH test
This is a series of pH tests of the saliva and urine to determine
your acid-base balance. When highly stressed the body can
become acidinc and displace valuable alkaline minerals which
can lead to many health problems including chronic fatigue,
weak immune system, difficult digestion, fibromyalgia, etc.

Ragland’s test
A test to measure an aspect of adrenal/thyroid function. this is
an important indicator of your stress and exercise tolerance
which are real important if low energy or stress are a concern.
Vitality & longevity assessment An important test to assess your rate of aging, nutrient status, toxicity status, muscle and fat mass. This test is especially usefulto monitor your progress during care so we can adjust your treatment as needed.

Urine Iodide
Iodine is an overlooked essential nutrient that is commonly
deficient. Iodine is important for the health of the thyroid,
breasts and ovaries. This test is the “gold standard” for measuring
iodine deficiency.

Urine Toxic Metals
This is a post-challenge urine toxic metal test.A chelating
(detoxifying) supplement is taken and then urine collected to
see how much is being leached out of the body.Toxic metal
burden can lead to large variety of health problems.

White vinegar
This test helps determine if your stomach is producing too much
or too little acid. Low stomach acid can lead to poor digestion
and absorption of important nutrients. Reflux and heartburn
can be present in both high or low states of stomach acid.

Zinc test
This is a quick taste test which can ascertain if you are getting
adequate amounts of zinc. Zinc is important for many
body functions including a healthy immune system bones and
prostate, as well as energy and tissue healing to name just a
few.
